Design Principles
“Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.”
— Leonardo da Vinci

We believe strongly in quality over quantity. We’re not a mass-production furniture factory, and we like it that way. Each piece is carefully crafted by hand. One person oversees each piece from start to finish, with quality checks at each stage of building. We use tried & true joinery methods and construction techniques that have been around for centuries because they’re proven to withstand the test of time.
-
We only use the highest quality, sustainably sourced domestic and exotic hardwoods and grade-A veneered plywood. All lumber and sheet goods are hand-selected by us from local mills for grain consistency and clarity.
-
We design our furniture to fulfill a purpose and to do it well. The aesthetic aspects are shaped naturally around its function. Both are equally important in our design process, but function always comes first. Form is organically dictated by the items intended use(s).
FORM is concerned with the aesthetic, emotional aspects of design.
FUNCTION asks questions that relate to usefulness, how it works, or how an object interacts with its environment. Think about not only an objects' use, but also consider what it takes to maintain it.

The world is overflowing with fast fashion and trendy designs that come and go. We’re proud to design furniture with the future in mind.
Clean lines, flowing forms, natural materials. No obscure patterns or over-the-top ornamentation—we believe there’s beauty in simplicity.
